- 3rd Annual Celebration of Cultures Dinner: Celebrating Diversity, Coming Together as Canadians
- Held November 1, 2006 in support of the Ottawa Food Bank and Ottawa Snow Suit Fund. Keynote speaker David Wilkins, US Ambassador to Canada, local MPP's and a tribute to Canadian Forces personnel and families were among the highlights of this well-attended dinner. Thank you to all those who participated and helped make this a wonderful evening and a worthwhile fundraising venture.
- Understanding Islam: Engaging Canadian youth to fight extremism
- Held on Monday, November 7, 2005 at City Hall, Ottawa
in partnership with the Ottawa Muslim communities. This events was An invitation to the citizens and youth of
the National Capital Region
to discover the true Islam and participate in
an open forum with leaders from the various local
Muslim groups and affiliations. Understand the faith, recognize its commonalities and
help to build bridges between all Canadian youth

- Debriefing on the Canadian Tsunami Relief Effort

- Held on February 9, 2010 at Ottawa City Hall in the Jean Pigott room.
- Co-chaired by Hon. John Baird, Hon. Mauril Bélanger
and Paul Dewar MP., 100% of the SOUP AID ticket costs were donated to the
subscriber's choice of
The Red Cross or
Humanitarian Coalition for HAITI relief.
