Share Your Proud Canadian MomentWe invite you to join the Canadians below who have shared their story. You can share with us by emailing information@circleofcanadians.caTsunami - What lesson are learnt from this and any disaster? There is still compassion left in the World. Canada is playing a lead role in relief, aid workers are working around the clock to help fellow human beings. It gives me pride to be a Canadian. I'm here to promote Peace and Harmony amongst all Cultures. I'm grateful to work with Mr. E. Tannis, towards this cause. September 11, 2001 changed the world in many ways. What did not change is the hospitality and warmth that Canada is known for. Many Canadians open their homes to strangers, who were stranded in Gander & Halifax. I am proud to have chosen Canada as my country! Proud Canadian. With the recent celebration of Remembrance Day, my 8 year old son realized what it was to be proud to be Canadian. Although being in a military family, he learns from regular discussions of war and peace, his fathers' role as a peacekeeper, and his grandfathers role in the Second World War. He has been staying up late each night this week as the History Channel brings our military history to life. He recently watched a documentary on The Great War, which illustrated the battlefields, successes and sacrifies of our Canadians Hill 70, Vimy Ridge, and Sommet Ridge. After having watched the one hour documentary, his only statement was this. "Wow, am I proud to be Canadian". He then stayed up one hour longer to watch the Canadian Victoria Cross "Men of Valour". Thank you to our veterans and serving members. |
